so today was my day!

so last night my mom and i were up all night! but then finally my day reached!  when we were walking into the office i was all i could think of is "what is going to happen next"? at first it was a "listening to beeps" test. and when the first beep went off i was like uhhh.... i think i heard it ?????? but i wasn't sure if i heard it or if i was just hearing things cause im soo excited. then the second beep went off i was like " yes i ...did hear it. i couldn't believe it! life was changing at that very minute !

anyways tonight i went bowling with a friend of mine, and i heard a few new sounds! when the car was stopped completely i heard the turning signal, then the next time we turned we didn't stop completely so i couldn't hear it. tonight i also heard someone honk at us. ! too many crazy drivers !!!!! and while muy friend and i were bowling i turned up my implant! shocking huh? but i am ready to hear !

tonight i told my mom this is the most amazing thing that i have ever done! i almost wish i had done bilateral implants but i am really blessed to have one ! i cant believe that it is actually mine !!!! i will wake up every morning proud to have it! i love it so far !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and as i am typing this all up i can hear the keyboard !

So last night I was making malt- o- meal and I did not hear the water boiling when I went to grab something to stir it with. So when I turned around it was everywhere! :( I felt like an idiot! There was other people in the room.

i hate it so much when my mom or dad or even my sister can talk to someone and i don't understand. this happened tonight. some lady was talking to my mom, while my mom was walking to the game room and i caught the lady's mouth moving; so then i heard my mom talking back to her. i ask my mom "what did the lady say"? mom: ............... me: (upset) mom: ........... me: (getting out of control)( making nosies to make mom notice) mom : i am sorry but i had my back against you, and i know how you hate that.


(even if it is not important at all i hear soooooooooo little and see soooooooooo much i want to know what is going on in life too!)

"nevermind"

just let you know dont ever say "nevermind" to a person that has trouble hearing! EVERYONE deserves to comunicate with eachother!!! if you are trying to comunicate with a deaf or hard of hearing person, make sure they understand you and they dont feel "leftout" with the comunication that is taking place! Do you want to know what it feels like when you say "nevermind"? well.... it feels kinda like this.... say you had the worlds GREATEST friend! then he/she turned his/her back .........

People... They don't relize I am not hearing there voices I am " reading their lips ". And that takes talent !

Another thing that bothers me sooooo much is "cars" I can't hear cars that come near me, so say I looked both ways already then the wind blows my hair in my face so I shake it out of my face (and this is all while I am walkin)then I see a car just about 15 to20 ft away from me going really fast! Now that scary !

AubreyS ears can't hear much " my world"

My ears cant hear much they can't hear birds chirping,water running,cell phones ringing. Many things that I cAnt hear. I really miss the sounds of animals. that used to be my FAVORITE kinds of sounds:)and i am sure it will be.I am sooo excited for I get " turned on"another thing I am looking forward to is the sounds of music, yeah sure I can hear it now but with my cochulear implant! It's going to be so COOL I CAN'T wait ANY longer!:)

This morning I woke up ate some breakfast.... Then I was bored for a while so I tried to get mom to come outside with me, but she had to wait for a dryer to open to dry our clothes. So anyways I went outside and played some basketball for a while. Then later on the Ronald McDonald people are going shopping, I guess I'm gonna go with them and shop till I drop :)ha-ha

uhhh... not quite sure what to say on my first post, but that's kinda silly cause i should have lots to say cause of what's been going on lately. like my SURGERY! i just got a cochlear implant on my right ear on mon. the 14 th i was told surgery went great! the day of surgery was ....so so i guess i threw up a lot. i stayed overnight at the hospital, then the next day i was able to go back to the Ronald McDonald house (that's where i was staying). for the next few day i was dizzy and had a feeling of just ......BLAH!!!!!!!!! then on the 19th on Saturday my mom and i went into the ER cause i was feeling nausea and i was just really dizzy! the doctors said that was normal for this kind of surgery, so they gave me some meds to help with the nausea and the dizziness. today march 21st i played some basketball outside and did some homework.
